A partial shutdown of the federal government has begun due to our president has taking a hard line on funding for a wall on our southern border while democrats have dug their heals in disagreeing with both the necessity and potential effectiveness of the proposed barrier while refusing to approve the Billions of dollars that the president requested.

Senator STEPHEN M. SWEENEY and Senator JOSEPH M. KYRILLOS, JR. introduced Bill 2318 on July 21st, 2013. The bill, much like the bill introduced last year, will cap the amount of sick time a public employee may be paid out when retiring.
